Samhain

the celtic holiday in which we honor the ancestors and keep the children locked up tight for fear they will be taken by the fey folk. where a person dons a mask so as not to be recognized as human or fey and can therefore move between the veils with grace and ease.

since the veils of communication between the spirit world, the middle or faery world and our world are thin it is a wonderful time to communicate.

for the next couple of days if you have problems which need solving or advice from someone not of this place put it out there in written and spoken for. ask for ideas or suggestion to come to you in a dream, meditation or oracle of some sort.

be sure to listen carefully to what people are saying as your answer might come through them, also in forms like a flier on the ground.

it is a beautiful time to thank your ancestors as well. light a candle and be filled with gratitude.

if you want to leave a treat milk, butter, buttermilk, hazelnuts are all nice offering for the fey.

blessed be

planting the seeds

I have been listening to this program on retraining my brain to accept in new belief structures.

Today I hit the jack pot of all information.

My job is to plant the seed of new belief, whatever that is: a new income level, a new car, anything.

My job is not to know or even understand the HOW. The universe will provide the how: the people, the insights, the ideas, the media spots, the for sale sign.

Now it's just this simple and it's not just this simple. I must act as if it already is, I must visualize it, find a picture, create a mental movie, feel the joy, I must to act, to as much of an extreme as is possible, as if it already is. Only then will you begin to override the systems in place in yourself that keep you in this current safe smaller place. Once things begin to be re-written-MAGIC- Things begin to show up, ideas you would never have acted on before you leap at, you meet people who are or know the people you need to help you, you spot the tiny ad for your car/home/partner and you act. You act, you act.

First you act as if, and then you on.

Here's to a life of change, abundance, and beauty!

Times they are a changing

This post is long overdue. Alas it is here at the most perfect of times, as with everything.

As a nation (and a planet) we are undergoing a huge shift in the way of things. I believe we have come upon the Tower Card. This is the card tarot readers sometimes dread because they must look their clients in the eye and tell the the hard truth. Your world is about to fall down all around you, there is nothing you can do about it, it is a necessary process and it's gonna knock you on your ass.

I personally adore the Tower card. I love it when it comes up in a reading with clients and I love that our society has just been knocked on it's collective ass. The structures that were built around greed, power, and money are destructive to our families, our planet and obviously to our nation. I am thankful they are crumbling and being destroyed. They serve no one but a few who already have enough. Let's rip them down to their foundations and build them anew in ways that help everyone, and the planet, to thrive.

Change is an inevitable part of life. The only thing constant is change. If we cannot accept and embrace this we will not thrive: individually or collectively.

The tower card speaks of destruction, abrupt change, cataclysmic awakening, tearing down to the roots or foundations and a forceful redirection of beliefs. It speaks to us of looking closely at the foundations we have put into place. If we build upon non solid ground or shore our foundations up with sand we can be sure that change will never feel comfortable and that we will be effected more detrimentally than those who took the time and energy to build on high ground.

For many the economic down turn has cause heart-ache and panic. If you can get past this turmoil you have an amazing opportunity to figure out what actually matters and to rebuild or shore up your foundations with information, strength and love.

No one can upset a foundation that is grounded in purpose, passion and love.

My challenge to you is this:
What actually matters to you? If everything was striped away what would actually matter?
What can no one take away from you?
Can you see the opportunities all around you and start rebuilding?
Are you prepared to act? To change everything? To thrive?
Can you look past the fear and propaganda and find what makes you come alive?
Is it time to walk away from the "normal" way of doing things and take your destiny into your own hands?

Let's start manifesting a society that can bend and be flexible in times of chaos, that can weather storms and shelter it's inhabitants, that thrives in a way that makes everyone feel like a part of something greater, and that is sustainable so we may continue to exist.

We have an extraordinary opportunity here... let's make the most of it and dream really, really big.

foot games

i was sent this yesterday and I want to challenge you to create some new neural pathways. It is in very big letters and I am too lazy to retype it :P

You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!!! It is from an orthopedic surgeon...
This will boggle your mind and you will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but, you can't. It's pre-programmed in your brain!

1. Without anyone watching you (they will think you are GOOFY...) and while sitting at your desk in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.
I told you so!!! And there's nothing you can do about it!

Well I would totally disagree with the "nothing you can do about it" because I had retrained my brain within 30 seconds on both sides to not switch directions. Yes it's hard, yes you have to over-ride impulses that scream at you but I highly recommend playing with this.

It will make you smarter, your brain will thank you, and you won't get icky old age pathologies if you find silly things like this to create new brain patterns once in awhile.

This is a great party trick by the way :D Thanks Lisa for passing this forward!

local shout out to relaxation

Ritzy Ryciak wrote in the latest Conscious Choice Magazine... "If every one of us got a weekly massage, the world would be a better place... left to my own here-there-everywhere devices, I let sweet, sweet massages fall by the wayside.
Which is a pity, really. Because, if I am honest with myself, I have to admit that modalities like massage-practices where you receive the power of touch and are forced to slow down-not only relax me, they clarify my thinking, make me feel more grounded and put me in closer contact with what my true needs vs. wants are...."

Thank you Ricky for that shout out!

Just another validation that some form of bodywork, can actually change the dynamics of your life. It is an investment in your health, mental/physical/emotional and can actually improve your focus, your ability to act and re-act and can cause you to be able to find solutions to problems quicker. Which in the end will actually save your time, money and stress.

This includes reflexology, massage, energywork, reiki, NIA, yoga, tai chi, qi gong... anything that makes you slow down, breathe deeper, connect with your amazing body and just BE.

blessings!

New Moon

October has flown by in a whirl wind of amazing and interesting adventures. Let's start over and get some focus... we love you New Moon!

The circle starts this coming Tuesday! Oct 28th, we gather in my living room and magic will happens. 6-9pm! call or email for directions...

Here are some of the intentions behind the circle:

Community- a place when we can let down our masks and practice being our authentic selves- yes that does mean you get to come and be grumpy, there is no need to pretend you are anything but what and where you are.

Ritual- bringing the sacred back into daily living. A place where ritual does not come with a rule book and you get to do things your own way. Including doing something totally different from the rest of the group.

Creation- a monthly gathering to celebrate the successes and renew the intentions and desires you want to attract to you. You are a master manifestor, get some help making it so.

Self Care- a place to gather and learn teachings to care for the self. 3 hours of renewal for you- monthly. Don't you feel better already?

Gratitude- being thankful for this time, a place to laugh people to laugh with, a place to cry and a place to share triumphs and seek help and support when extra attention or physical help is needed.

The first month you attend you are our guest. Please introduce yourself and explore the circle. Each month varies so be open to really connecting to the people, not the activity.

After your first session the circle is $15 a month, cash or checks are welcome.

Magic happens when small groups gather with the soul intention of expanding their soul. Blessings and I look forward to seeing you soon.

one step at a time

October has been a seriously intense month. I'm not sure if it the change of seasons or Mercury in retrograde but things have been shifting in very interesting ways. Here are some examples:

Clients not showing up for appointments, or driving to appointments knowing they were supposed to start 30 minutes ago, my favorite is booking an appointment for myself and showing up to a locked door, apparently she thought the appointment was for the following week. It's hilarious when you step away from the confusion of it.

Tarot Party at Jillian's. What a delightful event. I was so nervous, being that it is a pool hall and tends to be noisy but they had a private room and I got there early and picked the quietest corner. There was a line to see me people. A line. It made my little heart so delighted to laugh and delight with these people while giving them a wee bit of help and clarity. Look for Tarot Party link coming soon on the website!

And finally the big! big! big! change. I am investing a significant sum (well to me it's significant in reality it's a really nice vacation) to create this thing that I do into a real life business. Yep, I have finally decided that I need tried and true professional guidance to move me from a very small floundering business to a way to sustain myself. I've decided I don't want to eat beans forever and I don't want to go to the corporate world so it's time to sign on with the pros.

Any new changes in your life?

Remember tis the season to dance with a falling leaf, enjoy!

Enough Already!

i am tired of the financial crisis. it is taking up news time, creating panic in our population and lowering the vibrational energy of every living thing on this planet.

so over the next few weeks i am determined tot discover and explore the idea of enough.

when one has enough there is no need for more, there is no lack, and therefore no conflict, fear or pull.

the trick is to understand what enough is for you while i understand what enough is for me. we are all different so therefore we each get our own ideas and numbers.

if you want to manifest enough, you have to know what it is before it can arrive.

so that is my self imposed task. to learn what is my enough. then i can be in full responsibility of my life, and my choices and act with integrity, love and gratitude.

the problem with america's finances are it was never enough, someone always needed more. so i challenge you to take responsibility in the only way you can. find your idea of enough.

then purge the excess allowing what you really want to enter and transform your need into gratitude for its arrival.

Definition: Enough

adjective
Being what is needed without being in excess

noun
An adequate quantity

adverb
  1. To a satisfactory amount or degree; sufficiently
  2. Very; fully; quite
  3. Tolerably; rather
blessings in this discovery. i feel in my heart it will be the best journey i have ever undertaken. it might also be one of the hardest as transformations and butting heads with belief structures can rip you open, chew you up and spit you out. but alas staying in this place isn't any better, in fact i think it might be way worse a slow sort of torture.
